new turbo mini moto (improved MK2)

a while back i posted a project that i was workin on. as loads of people say u cant turbo a mini moto. well i did it and it worked too. but me been to greedy with power i cranked the boost up way too far for the cheap rep engine to take. anyway to cut a long story short i ended up with load of little bits of engine casing all over the road. i am now workin on a improved system with a larger engine with can take the pressure. 100cc 4 stroke turbo mini moto. lol

This looks like it could be a GREAT project!!!!! I've have a few questions.

Are you going to get enough gas to spin that turbo up to anywhere near some good boost figures. Looks like a garratt T25?? maybe off a smart car???

Where are you going to get the oil to cool the bearings?

What carb are you planning on using as i take it your planning on making a suck through system and not a blow through with a plenum chamber.

I wait with baited breath as i have been thinking about turboing a pitbike for a long time.

    Good luck

he'll get the oil to cool the bearings from motorama .... duuuurr!!!

one thing and one thing only to say.......

I see what you mean, i have read the previous thread now and i see this is going to be some project!!!! What with the 2" bore exhaust and the water for oil.

    He obviously know his onions!!!

I now wait with even more bated breath.

    Good luck

I thought the radiator was going to be filled with oil and the bearings would be fed off that?

I've got one thing to say about waynes engineering prowess but the swear filter would block 99% of it so I won't bother typing it.

I think the mk1 turbo'd 2 stroke working was a figment of his imagination.

    Couldn't agree more Chute.

There are few enough posts on this dying website these days as it is without having this pointless load of twoddle re-kindled.

You were told on your original thread that you even if you could get it running you would blow seals etc and cause damage to a 2 stroke which if you in fact ever did ever get it working - it aparently did.....suprise suprise

Also, I can't be the only one who is sitting here thinking that Turbocharging a four stroke is hardly revolutionary or groundbreaking now is it

i think its quite funny how when you are trying something different people always try to find then negatives. the turbo is a garrett T2 got it for a right bargin of 20 quid lol. have a look at this video.

ferrino i did get it working and was running ok. i adjusted the boost to 10 psi the most the boost controler would go. if i didn't do that it would still had been running now. so Ferrino what speical things have you done then to ur bike or let me guess bought stuff off a shelf. this is why the sport of mini moto racing isn't that big you need more speed. poeple dont want to push the limits. also so what if i damaged my bike it cost me 30 wow. was well worth blowing it up.
