The coil might be rubbing on the fly wheel?

Maybe it is about to seize, But what I mean is that the pick-up for the spark plug might be rubbing on the fly wheel. so take off the pull-start cover and see if there are any scratches on the edge of the flywheel, if there are then thats what could be causing it to be difficult to pull..

no prob. Loosen the pick-up then put a 0.3 or 0.4mm feeler gauge between the pick-up and the flywheel, then line up the magnets on the flywheel with the pick-up so that the magnets pull the pick-up onto the feeler gauge. Then tighten the pick-up back into place and pull out the feeler gauge, if it still touches then use a thicker feeler gauge =]

Maybe the carb is flooding and the engine is hydrolocked?

If its busy seizing but it runs then ride the poo out of it til it seizes then save up and buy a genuine minimoto, thats what I'd do =)

ur pick-up is now probably too far away from the magnets on the flywheel now, the gap between the pick-up and the flywheel should be super close about 0.3mm make it as close as u can just as long as it doesnt touch. the further away the pick-up is the weaker the charge given to the spark plug will be... good luck
