don't suppose anyone from the north-west is going down.

Gary was going to take a bike down for me, but he has done his usual trick of crashing, and i can't get hold of him to see if he is still going.
It's just the bike, to be dropped off, and a bit of cash bringing back.
I am in the wigan area, but will travel to meet someone if Gary wimps out of going.

Cheers.

Scott/Huw, If the grids have large numbers (as i have heard 45 riders are in proddy b) will be all be running together as it sounds a bit dodgy going into the first few corners with 45 bikes trying to get the same line.

Look, we will do our best to accomodate, but we are back to the same old question.....do you want to practice or race? We can't win! With this many entries/classes, you can't have both. Each case [additional practice] will be dealt with on merit is the best I can say, because we always have the problem with people trying to pull our chain, because they havn't prepared their bike properly.

We have had soooooo many late entries, and it's really not helping matters at all, we need you all to be a bit sharper please! Once we have this first meet out of the way, things will settle down.

Yes, grid sizes ARE restricted, 30 however is not the end of the world on a circuit this size.

pasinikiller
30-03-2006, 10:05 AM
I'd say you only need a 5 minutre practice session in the morning, then get straight on with racing as the day before is for practice to set your bike up ready for the next day. And helps the day move on quicker that way we dont get stuck in traffic on the way home.

Phoenix Racing
30-03-2006, 12:01 PM
IMPORTANT - Entries are now at 200+, certain classes are now AT CAPACITY, those that have sent in entries, and not been rejected by phone are IN......Latecomers, please, please ring first and save yourselves a journey, classes confirmed closed are Production C/D, probably Production B, others are close.

RE practice,
I dont understand why people are whinging, Karts get 3 laps on raceday morning......no one complained about that...

ickle pob
30-03-2006, 03:11 PM
practice is for a final check of the bike, and to show you where the track goes.

you can't expect a rider at the track for the first time to howl into the first lap with 29 other riders not knowing where and when the next corner is.

People take it for granted, and practice always drags on too long. Your bike should be ready ( bar changing to wets/slicks ) before you leave for a meeting and others shouldn't be penalised for someones poor bike preparation.

Riders ALWAYS moan when races get shortened or cancelled due to time constraints, but sometimes it's their own doing.

Paul

why not run all proodys together and all 4.2's together for the practice... as it's a pretty big track and that will cut the time loss down! (i'm pretty upset my mate martin didn't get in, but i'm sure he will learn from his mistakes :( )
