Polini 6.2hp Go-Ped GSR40. It has hydraulic front brakes, custom fabricated fully adjustable engine mount/adapter, and Bridgestone Racing 3.00X4 tires. It's geared 6/76 and was built by my brother Tom and I over the course of 2 days. The only thing it needs to be complete is a throttle cable(killswitch is now rigged up but not in pictures). The pipe is a custom silenced model that I tried on another 6.2 and really liked. So, opinions?[/img]

I think you are nuts, I would not ride the thing (too scared) :jaw:

It's a bit less scary now, it has a killswitch on the tank bracket and the pipe is wrapped with header wrap to prevent burns. I also have a seat for it that I can put on if I want.

But my understanding is that there are even more sinister concoctions about.

I know of a 50cc Polini powered unit, with PMT 6.5" wheels (I saw pics of it online somewhere), and there's also another one coming together that yet another gentleman is building (he comes over for parts now and then).

In fact, Patmont (Go-Ped) is now selling the PMT wheels and tires with their own conversion kit for peds.

Frankly, I wouldn't have the guts to ride standing up that fast. No thanks.

Nice job, though!

It's not all that scary to ride, I did have to change the jet though(went from the stock 68 to a 75 and will probably go to the next size up) because it just ran poorly with the stock one. It has way too much low end to handle with the 6/76 gearing though, so I'm probably going to put a 68 or 72 tooth sprocket on the rear.

About halfway down the page is the section on the 50cc watercooled Polini-powered scooter.

There's even a video of it in action.
