:( we did want to get a top rider to open the shop, but all the ones we could get hold of are out testing. we did have one possibility but they wanted 2000 for the day. nice wages eh. so i'm afraid the shop will be opened by a top minimoto rider, current semrc chmpion - me.
we are gonna do some mega deals, things like first 3 people to buy a pair of wets get a stupidly low price etc etc. we gonna have a buffet on, jules suggested cheese and wine but were racing at 3 so i dont think thats such a good idea and were not exactly of the cheese and wine status now are we, burger and coke more like.
make sure you come - everyones welcome

Late Night, didn't get up 'till 12.00. Par for the course in my line of business.

Good to see you curly. Fantastic avatar. Now, I wonder who you could be?

Perhaps you could let us all know where, on the web, you got it?

15-02-2002, 12:05 AM
if you want a standard avatar go to www.avatars.com there is loads as well as tons of links. i borrowed this one from mike in ssc. my own web page is all ballsed up. i want someone to come round and show me how to set up a basic web page so that i can upload all my own pics and avatars. i made a wicked one of my car progressively changing colour. i'm starting to get the hang of photo editing and basic animation, just need to learn web management.

Maybe we should create our own collection of minimoto avatars for users of this site. Just have to work out how! Can anyone help? Pleeeeease.

mega deals, things like first 3 people to buy a pair of wets get a stupidly low price etc etc.

How much is a stupidly low price? Cause I could do with some new ones? I may have to pop up.

17-02-2002, 12:25 AM
havent sat down and worked out the deals yet, just ideas that come into our heads. concentrating on getting the shop ready which is gonna be a mission. some of the deals will be cost prices, maybe less :D

Does this mean that you will not be using the garage in calne anymore?

19-02-2002, 12:45 PM
all the sales will be done from the shop. the garage will just be for the hire bikes and servicing. i will then only have to trave 6 miles to work instead of 25. yippee :D

Ian, could you let me know if you don't want my mate Mick to open the shop, as he is at the moment making the effort to sort out posters of their races to autograph for the kids etc. seems a waste if your not interested. Could'nt get you on phone, figured you 'd be on here sometime.
Regards Rob.

Where exactly is Swindon? Is it the one near London, or the one in Staffordshire :?

20-02-2002, 07:35 PM
If you call about 100 miles near, then it's the one near London, between junctions 15 and 16 of the M4.

Swindon is North of the motorway but the track, 'Winners Karting' is in a place called Wroughton that is South of the motorway. It's in an old aircraft hanger next to RAF Wroughton on the B4005. So long as it's not foggy you should see it.
